Racing through the desert planes, a crimson Kukuri’s legs drummed against the dry ground, leaving behind a billowing dust cloud. Atop the tall beast’s back was a rider, enveloped in camouflaging cloth; the only thing peeking through the brown tones was a pearlescent scaled tail like a dragon’s. Pulling on his reins, Kraus brought Mercer to slow as they reached a white fluffy puller waiting in front of an old shipwreck. The skeleton-like hull of the old ship stuck out of the open dry plane like a tree in a field of grass. Lowering his hood and removing his sand goggles, Kraus greeted the puller, who smiled in return to the rider and Kukuri. “Well met, Neito.” Kraus nodded his head. “Why do you stand in the wind? Or have you already scavenged this wreckage without us?” Amused tone, he questioned, but Neito’s expression hinted there was some issue. “I wouldn’t do such a thing, Kraus.” Neito defended. “We have additional company today; Naiyana and Gerhardt.” The puller nudged her head

The Cold in the Dark - Spellmaster
Spellmaster - Aysu 15369 Spark - Ashra 7004 1129 words Through streets and alleys, Aysu followed the shadows as they fled the docks and out into the woods nearby. The patter and chaff of paws in the snow became clearer and louder the further she ran from the crashing waves of the shore and the toll of boat bells signaling their leave. Dark trunks whisked by, needled branches lashing at her coat like claws. Her breath began to cool, despite adrenaline burning against the nip in the air. The puffs of air faded until they reappeared as crystalline mist, billowing from Aysu’s flared nostrils. With a glance and a whip of her head, ice sprung out of the snow and cut through shadows that dispersed from the impact between the snowy trunks. Again, and again, she targeted the many veiled faces that surrounded her, her single objective was getting the cub to safety. Fury toiled beneath her skin, her temper on the rise as magic crystallized around her into shards of ice after each step, each
Magi - Arcanist - Aysu 15369 Sparked - Elementalist - Sel'Torana 13831 The onslaught of faces veiled in shadows was relentless, but Aysu held her own, fending off the attackers whilst a young cub hid between her lags. The little one was crying out as Aysu had gone by a dock warehouse, likely having been swept away by the shadowed figures. It was some kind of magic at play; Vayrons all trained in stealth-like abilities to work unseen, ambush their targets. What they lacked in physical strength in comparison to the black and white puller, they made up for in numbers. Cuts stung Aysu’s hide as she bit into another shadowed foe. The cub tumbled between her legs, but understood it was important it stayed with the puller so he wasn’t snatched away. The cub whined and yapped at the circling figures, leaning onto the legs protecting him. Aysu huffed from the exertion, but stood firm in her place, lunging for quick snaps at any approaching figures. She had to get the cub out of the

You’ll love her, I promise.” Neito trotted with a spring in her step as she led the band of four Vayrons down an old forest path not well traveled. Camellia, a black rose-coated puller was keeping up with the preppy leader, with Ronan, an equally monochrome runner keeping at her side. Behind followed Alistair, who had voted for a voyage on an air ship, but Neito had persuaded the other two to overthrow the vote for this mystery ride on something seemingly colossal. They were high up in the air on an island lush with flora and various fauna, alongside the occasional quake, Alistair hastened to point out whenever it happened. Neito chuckled at the runner’s
